Drypoint Printmaking

Open to all levels.

This workshop explores drypoint techniques using AKUA’s© clear plastic printmaking plates. We will learn how to transfer an image onto the plate and how to use tools to create line variation and texture, as well as inking, wiping, and printing.

Participants are encouraged to bring in sketches, imagery or photographs to work from. 

One hour lunch break- You are welcomed to bring a bag lunch if you would like to stay and work at the studio.

All materials generously provided by AKUA©.

About Amber Kaiser:

Amber Kaiser received her BFA in ceramics, shortly afterwards she fell in love with the process of printmaking and has been practicing for the past nine years. She joined Burning Bones Press in 2014 where Amber continues to print and learn with other members of the studio. She has traveled internationally to exhibit and demonstrate her techniques. Kaiser is currently teaching summer printmaking classes at the Galveston Arts Center along with additional workshops in the Houston area.

Participant cancellations less than 48hrs before workshop will not be refunded. Credit for future workshops will be given instead.
